THE ENGINEERING JOURNEY

I am Kevin van Deventer, a full-stack web developer. I began hand-coding websites out of a deep fascination with how instant, clean layouts could optimize business workflows. Over the years, that fascination has grown into a structured career building modern web applications, headless Shopify storefronts, and practical AI integrations.

I view software development not as simply throwing libraries together, but as deliberate system design. Every component, database query, and CSS rule is a modular building block that must be designed to withstand future scale.
